Why do I live in Edmonton?

Can you see the photo? The river valley is amazing - no matter what time of year!

Edmonton has one of the biggest "greenbelts" in Canada. That means we have way more trees than most cities.

No matter what time of year it is, you can find a great farmer's market.

We've got a major film festival, a fashion week and Brad Pitt has filmed a movie here.

Do you like shopping? The West Edmonton Mall is the largest shopping mall in North America

Are you eco-friendly? Edmonton has one of the most progressive waste management systems - in fact, almost 80% of household waste is recycled or composted, rather than going to the landfill.

Famous Edmontonians include Tommy Chong, Nathan Fillion and Michael J. Fox.

Edmonton is known as "Festival City" - there are very few times of year when you won't find a festival happening here!

   Edmonton has, I believe, more small theatres for live plays than any other city in Canada.

   Plus a terrific selection of really good quality restuarants including food from every country you can imagine.
