The 28th Annual Edmonton International Fringe Festival!

The 28th annual Edmonton International Fringe Festival kicks off the fun this Thursday, August 13th 2009 with amazing theatre from all over the planet!

The hugely-popular festival rolls into Old Strathcona until August 23rd, with everything from street performers to full productions of all-new plays and theatrical events. The performer's parade opens the festival on Thursday evening at 7:30pm. The parade begins on 85th Avenue down the Midway alley past the north beer tent, west on 84th Avenue, south on 104th Street, east on 83rd Avenue, and end up in McIntyre Park beside the Edmonton Journal Stage. The fun continues at 8pm with the "Free For All" - 5 minute performances by the performers as they pitch their shows.

The performance schedule is online and it's definitely worth checking out - you don't want to miss a show! Tickets are available online or at the Transalta Arts Barns box office for all stage performances.
