The 2009 Works Festival Is Here

the works 09.jpg

The always-popular Edmonton Works Art & Design festival kicked off the party today in Sir Winston Churchill Square.

The festival celebrates the best of Canadian art, music, design, theatre and more with local, provincial and national artists exhibiting their work in various locations throughout Edmonton. There are dozens of gallery spaces, so it's definitely worthwhile checking out the Works program online (available as a PDF).

You can catch free music concerts in Sir Winston Churchill Square daily from noon until 9:30pm each day. The artisan market runs from 11:00 am until 9:00pm, so come prepared to shop! There are family-friendly activities, hands on fun and artist demos daily.

The Works runs from June 19th through until July 1st.
