Do you know what a "Capybara" is?

Capybaras are the world's largest living rodent and a native of South America. The rodents look something like Guinea Pigs on steroids and live both on land and in the water.

The Valley Zoo is celebrating these unique creatures with a "Capybara Carnival" today, August 9th. From noon until 4pm you can make capybara crafts, meet South American animals and even get your face painted. South American musicians will perform and you can have a chance to learn more about one of the zoo's more unique animals.
