The Muttart Conservatory is holding a celebration of "The Forgotten Tree" today, Sunday October 11th, 2009.

The Forgotten Tree is actually called the "Wollemi Pine", an ancient species of evergreen so rare that there are only approximately 100 adult trees left in the wild. The Muttart is working to conserve the rare tree and wants to educate the public on what they can do as well.

Today's event runs from noon until 5pm with a Jurassic Jungle Fair, crafts, face painting and live talks through the day. You can take a self-guided tour through the pyramids or try some hands-on science projects.
