Saturday Shorts

The annual Earth Day Festival had to be rescheduled this spring - but it's back this weekend!

The festival actually takes place in two locations in Old Strathcona today, Saturday September 19th, 2009. The main stage is at the McIntyre Gazebo (83rd Ave and 104th street) and the Adventure Park happens at 85th ave and 104th street.

Visual artists will be creating art, there will be live musical performances and you can even make your own hand-made paper with an artist. If you commute to the festival on your bike you can even enter a contest to win a bike!

The festival runs from noon until 6pm today.
