"Passchendaele" opens in theatres tomorrow

Premiere Of

It's always great to celebrate the release of a major motion picture filmed in Alberta! "Passchendaele" opens world-wide on October 17th - although if you were lucky, you got to catch it on opening night...

Written, directed and produced by Paul Gross (who became a household name playing iconic Mountie, Benton Fraser in tv's Due South) the movie is based on the Battle of Passchendaele, fought by 50,000 Canadian soldiers in World War 1. Passchendaele was shot on location in Alberta with more than 100 actors recreating the battle - complete with cold rain and mud!

Passchendaele plays in multiple screens across Edmonton.
