Mispon Winter Light Gala

mispon gala.jpg

It's January, the Christmas decorations have been taken down and we're all back to work...

You're still in the mood to party?

Then head downtown to Sir Winston Churchill Square this Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 for the Mispon Winter Light Gala!

Mispon is a celebration of our snowy city with everything from music, art to great food from NAIT. There is a ceremonial blessing, a lantern installation and even a skating performance.

"Mispon means ‘it’s snowing’ in Cree, and everyone is invited to join us at this light-hearted celebration of all the best about our snowy winter city. Enjoy fun installations, performances and presentations – including a sneak peek at upcoming festivals and Winter Light 2010."

The festival begins at 4:30pm in City Hall Plaza. It's free to attend but you're requested to bring warm mittens, hats and scarves to donate.
