The most-visited travelling exhibition in the world is coming to TELUS World of Science - Edmonton.

Gunther von Hagens' BODY WORLDS 1 : The Original Exhibition of Real Human Bodies will begin Friday, June 13/08 through October 13/08.

Already seen by nearly 25 million people worldwide, the educational exhibit about human anatomy, physiology and health will give Edmonton visitors unprecedented views inside the human body. BODY WORLDS 1 will present more than 200 authentic specimens that have undergone a process called Plastination. Physician and anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens invented Plastination which extracts bodily fluids and fat from specimens, replacing them with reactive resins and polymers.

"BODY WORLDs is a powerful educational and inspirational exhibition that offers a tremendous opportunity to improve Albertans' knowledge about their own bodies and the health impact of their life-style choices," says George Smith, President & CEO of the Edmonton Space & Science Foundation/TELUS World of Science-Edmonton.

For more information, go to the exhibition website. Advance ticket purchases are recommended.
