in my opinion... holiday activities

candy canes.jpg

I've lived in and around Edmonton my whole life - and there are things I absolutely must do every December to celebrate the holidays!

My picks - in no particular order...

Walk around the lights at the Alberta Legislature. I brought my dogs this year, so I couldn't go inside, but there's hot chocolate and choirs every evening.

Walk, drive or take a sleigh through Candy Cane Lane. The homeowners put so much love and care into setting up their Christmas displays and lights!

Spend time on Jasper Ave and enjoy the new Christmas lights. I recommend grabbing something yummy to drink (white hot chocolate for me please!) and going with friends.

Catch a Christmas concert - there's tons of options out there, it just depends on your musical preference.

Enjoy the BrightLights festival at Hawrelak Park.

So what's your favorite way to celebrate the holidays in Edmonton?
