fun for filmmakers in April

I've got a fondness for old 8mm and Super 8mm film, after all I spent several years transferring home movies onto video tapes. If you're a fan of film stock over digital, then Fava's Super8 Challenge might be right up your alley.

Metro Cinema is hosting a comedy shorts film festival and they need submissions from Edmonton film makers! They're looking for five minute short films, preferably in mini dv or Quicktime format. You've still got some time to enter, the deadline is August 15th. You can contact them for more information or stop by their offices in the Stanley Milner Library downtown.
