Footlight Festival at the Walterdale

The Walterdale Playhouse is celebrating 50 years of theatre in Edmonton with their "50 Years of Footlights" Festival.

"The Footlight Festival is a celebration of all things Walterdale. Calling on the skills of both alumni and newcomers, Walterdale invites you to celebrate our 50th anniversary with professionally mentored world premieres, classic comedies, play readings, round-table discussions, variety shows and more."

The Walterdale Playhouse has provided a launching ground for many theatrical careers in Edmonton. With everyone from the actors, set designer and soundman volunteering their time and services to provide a great theatre experience. It's also the oldest amateur theatrical company in Western Canada!
