Fanboys (and girls) of Edmonton, Unite!

Rise up out of your basements and one-bedroom apartments! Brave the blinding sun and gusts of outdoor air! Risk talking to people in meatspace, for this Sunday is the Day of Days.

Everyone with geek cred knows what I'm blogging about - the rest need an explanation. The Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show hits the Shaw on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you don't come to peruse the wares of nearly 100 vendors spread over 23,000 square feet, featuring vintage and modern toys and more comics than you can shake a longbox at, come see Ernie! That's right - Ernie Hudson of Ghostbusters fame will be on site, signing autographs and telling tales of psychreactive slime! If meeting Winston Zeddemore, how about the young Aunt Beru in Star Wars: Episodes II and III? Bonnie Piesse will be there, too. Vintage video games! Japanese vinyl and art toys! Limited edition prints! Convert your Lindens into loonies and get down there on Sunday.

Entry is $5, or free for the 12-and-under crowd. Bring a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank and qualify for some sweet fanboy prizes!
