Edmoton Dragon Boat Festival

The 12th annual Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival hits the North Saskatchewan River next weekend, from August 22nd through the 24th.

The festival kicks of on Friday night with opening ceremonies beginning at 6pm, which include a traditional dragon dance. The races go through Saturday and Sunday at the Louise McKinney Riverfront Park. Musician Amy Nelson will perform, along with several other performances throughout the weekend. There's family fun at the Heritage stage from 11am - 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
