Edmonton Earth Day

earth day 2010.jpg

The official Earth Day happens on April 22nd, but Edmontonians get to celebrate a little early, with Edmonton Earth Day taking place this Sunday, April 18th.

Edmonton has been hosting vibrant Earth Day celebrations for almost two decades now, and this year's celebration should be as good as always. Learn more about the world around us and how we can take care of it, listen to great music and enjoy tasty food with the whole family.

"Featuring 6 hours of mainstage entertainment, a blend of environmental, holistic, animal and human rights exhibitors, hands on environmental education activities for the kids, body friendly food and more plus more – this is one of Canada’s largest environmental festivals."

Fort Edmonton Park's Blatchford Hanger is this site for the 2010 celebration this weekend, with the festival running Sunday afternoon from noon until 6pm.
