Design Works Downtown

Enterprise SquareUntil May 15 in the fully renovated old Hudson's Bay building downtown, University of Alberta faculty and students will be displaying thought-provoking Industrial and Visual Communication design.

The Design Works exhibition will kick off a series of shows planned for the vibrant, new downtown campus of the University of Alberta, called the Enterprise Square. Design Works features a rotating collection of 40 works which celebrate innovative design for everything from furniture and household items to advertisements, posters and books.

The reception for these pieces has been terrific: office workers come by on their breaks to browse the pieces and consider the impact that design has on their lives. Located within Edmonton's Arts District, the space is a natural fit with other venues such as the Art Gallery of Alberta, the Citadel Theatre and the Winspear Centre.

The public is welcomed into the space during downtown business hours.
