City launches innovative home ownership program

firstplaceedmonton.gif

The City of Edmonton wants first-time city homebuyers to get a break with the First Place Home Ownership Program. Recently launched, the made-in-Edmonton program will create 1,000 new townhomes on the market and offer residents more housing options.

With an exemption to the Municipal Government Act, support of Edmonton City Council and Edmonton-area school boards, the program will transform 20 surplus and vacant school sites. These sites will become potential locations for new townhomes.

For more information, visit FirstPlaceEdmonton.com.
