BrightNights Festival 2008

bright nigts fest.jpg

First of all, let me apologize if you've been trying to read the Edmonton Blog in the past couple of days and haven't been able to. We're upgrading our network at the moment, which should mean no more down time!

Let's get to the fun stuff!

BrightLights Festival 2008 opens at Hawrelak Park tomorrow, November 21st and runs until January 4th. November 21st is a strictly pedestrians-only night, but the festival is car-friendly for the rest of the event.

The festival is one of Canada's largest holiday light displays and is a popular Christmas treat for families. The organizers have put a lot of effort into making BrightLights a "green" festival with new energy efficient lighting, timers and reduced late night hours.

BrightNights is one of the Edmonton Foodbank's biggest fundraisers, so please bring a non-perishable food donation with you!
